I’m only several months behind. I just uploaded video from our wedding. Moments before the ceremony, I handed our camcorder to David and asked him to take some footage. I didn’t even explain how it worked, but he somehow managed to get some good footage. I hadn’t set the white balance on the camcorder (something that is burried in the camcorder options), so I did have to go back and adjust that in post. The video is below, or you can watch the high def version at Vimeo.
Some time ago, I edited video from the resort we stayed at during our honeymoon. I never uploaded it, though. I have now. The standard def version is below, or you Continue Reading
I’ve posted some random photos from our wedding. The photos are from the bridal shower for Elizabeth, the rehearsal dinner at 2201 in the boro, hanging out at home after the rehearsal dinner, and the wedding day. We really had a great day for our wedding – after a rainy Saturday, Sunday dawned with clear skies and nice temperatures. Everything came together nicely, and Elizabeth looked beautiful. We were surrounded by those closest to us, and had a nice, intimate ceremony.
Our wedding is September 7, 2008, in front of both of our families. To organize the information in one location, and to give me an excuse to make another website, we’ve put the wedding information up on its own site, www.ellisklinewedding.com. The site is still a work in progress as we finalize the plans, but the main information is there now. We hope to add more information as we approach the wedding date.
On June 21, Dad Ellis, Vanessa, Meredith, Elizabeth, and I went to Box Hill Mansion for a birthday dinner for Elizabeth, and to finalize wedding plans. We are getting married at Box Hill on September 7. I took some video while we were there. Weather permitting, the wedding will be outdoors, down to the left of the reflecting pond shown in part of the video. The high def version is here.
Next up are several pictures from around Christmas- both at home leading up to Christmas, and from Christmas day itself. The big news, on a personal level, was that on December 23 I asked Elizabeth to marry me, and for some reason I’ll never understand but forever appreciate, she said yes. Stockings are her favorite part of Christmas, and we did our stockings on December 23, our last night at home before heading to my parents. I put the ring (well, actually the stone on a temporary setting – she will pick out her own setting) in the bottom of her stocking, and she was very surprised when she opened it. I think I had her convinced that this wouldn’t happen until late January or early February, when several of her work trips ended. So, now we get to plan a wedding, and a life together. Christmas was great, too. As with most years, we went to church on Christmas Eve, and then spent Christmas morning opening presents (including an autographed baseball by Mike Schmidt!), followed by a huge breakfast. Then, my aunts, uncles, and cousins on my Mom’s side of the family come over. We also got to go visit my Nana. All in all, a Christmas to remember.
