I’ve uploaded more video from Christmas 2008. This part is from our time in Pittsburgh with the Ellis side of the family. We headed to Pittsburgh after Christmas Day, and had a great time. The video is below, or you can watch the high def version at Vimeo.

I’ve finally uploaded some video from Christmas 2008. The first part is video from Christmas with the Kline side of the family. We started the day with immediate family (Mom, Dad, Matt, Jen, Miles, Zach, Josh, Elizabeth, and I), and then the rest of the Smith side of the family got together in the afternoon. The video is below, or you can watch the high def version at Vimeo. The next day we headed out to Pittsburgh, so next up will be Christmas with the Ellis side of the family.

I’m only several months behind. I just uploaded video from our wedding. Moments before the ceremony, I handed our camcorder to David and asked him to take some footage. I didn’t even explain how it worked, but he somehow managed to get some good footage. I hadn’t set the white balance on the camcorder (something that is burried in the camcorder options), so I did have to go back and adjust that in post. The last excursion on our honeymoon was to Isla Mujeres, and I’ve just posted the video we took while there (yes, I’m a bit slow getting this posted). I previously posted the video from swimming with the dolphins. It was probably our favorite trip on the honeymoon. In addition to swimming with the dolphins, we ziplined from a cliff to a platform in the ocean, swam with manatees, and relaxed by the ocean. We reached the island by way of a small cruise ship.

Some time ago, I edited video from the resort we stayed at during our honeymoon. I never uploaded it, though. I have now. The standard def version is below, or you Continue Reading
28 years ago, on October 21, 1980, the Phillies won the World Series. I was 12 years-old at the time, and I still remember sitting on the blue recliner at home, watching Tug McGraw strike out Willie Wilson to clinch the team’s first championship since their founding in 1883. That was game 6. My dad took me to a playoff game against the Astros that year, and to Game 1 of the World Series, a Phillies win over the Royals.
After many losing seasons, two unsuccessful trips to the World Series, and a first round exit from the playoffs last year, the Phillies returned to the playoffs this year. The Phils had a fantastic finish to the regular season, overtaking the New York Mets and clinching the division title on the second-to-last day of the regular season.
